Fitzroy Stretches is proud to announce that the NewNorth Photography Prize, which we co-sponsored with Canon and New North Editions, has been awarded to ANDREW CHAPMAN for his photograph "Sea of Heartbreak". MARGOT SHARMAN received the Student Prize for "Portrait of Julia", and JENNY HODGE was awarded the New North Portrait Prize for her evocative image "Musician Zia Herzian".

The awards were judged by Dr. Shaune Laikin, Director, Monash Gallery of Art; Jeff Moorfoot, Photographer and Festival Director for the Ballarat International Photo Biennale; and Eugene Barilo von Reisberg, Director, BvR Arts Management.

We congratulate the award winners and all participants in the exhibition, which will continue at New North Gallery, 15a Railway Place, Fairfield, until November 27.
