HD Profile is 42mm wide by 32mm deep.
We have chosen Victorian Ash as our primary hardwood. Ash is a close-grained timber that is rarely supplied in deviating lengths. Ash is stable and responds less overtly to changes in humidity and temperature when compared to Pine.
Our Victorian Ash profile, HD, is perfect for artists intending to frame their canvasses with shadow moulding as it’s accurate nature is second to none. |
Museum Quality Profile is 67mm wide by 32mm deep.
Western Red Cedar is becoming increasingly popular with artists who work on a larger scale and require a stretcher that is lightweight and true. Our Museum Quality Profile is made from Cedar and is accompanied by Cedar bracing to suit. |
Premium Quality Profile is 67mm wide by 22mm deep.
Premium Quality Profile, PQP, continues to be demanded by the Australian artist community. We have maintained the tradition of producing this profile in Pine. The timber we choose is clear grade kiln-dried Hoop Pine sourced from plantations in Queensland. Clear grade denotes that the timber is supplied free of knots.
Hoop Pine is a superior timber to Radiata and other Pine species commonly used for stretcher arms.
