Artfix
For more than 30 years the Narozni family has been hand-crafting Artfix premium artist’s linen for serious painters who insist on archival quality linen that is hand-primed according to time honored methods. Manufactured in a small village near Vence, in Provence, where the dry, warm climate is ideal for the slow, even drying of primer surfaces, Artfix makes a truly archival, pre-primed linen that is guaranteed not to peel, crack, flake, or lose its inner dimensional stability.

Artfix is double sized before priming. It then receives up to six coats of either oil-based, acrylic, or universal primer. The secret Artfix fomulation of its oil based primer has all the feel, strength, adhesion, luminosity, and absorption of a traditional white lead primer without the toxicity.

Belle Arti
“P.E.R. Belle Arti”, established in 1979, have always produced a wide range of painting supports in order to meet any kind of request. The raw material employed is first selected and controlled with the utmost care, then worked by expert specialised hands, supported by high technology machinery. We have chosen Belle Arti’s oil primed linens as part our complete range.

The oil primed surface is perfect to paint on with oil colours. This extremely innovative preparation is the result of long studies and differs from the traditional oil preparation in its elasticity and flexibility. On oil primed surfaces the line is fluid and more delicate; oils adhere in a perfect way and they remain always bright and natural.
